This is a “Long” story and it hasn’t always been “EZ”! It started in Clearwater, Ks (near Wichita) and is drawing to a close in Tucson, AZ. I have been in Aviation virtually all of my life in the Avionics field. I have flown a 1978 Turbo Arrow, which I owned with a partner. Well, I sold the Arrow in 2005 and bought a 1955 Bonanza! I plan on the Bonanza to get me to Oshkosh in 2007. But, my goal (dream) is to fly the Longez to Oshkosh in 2014 (Almost).

My first venture into home-building, was a Pitts Special. I completed the welded Fuselage, Wings, gear and was ready for covering when I saw my first Longez. I fell in love with the Longez, ordered plans, and sold the Pitts almost immediately. This was in about 1980. My career and a move from Clearwater to Tucson interrupted the building process for about 12 years.

Long EZ, EngineI am now trying to do something on it everyday, no matter how minor. I am as excited about the Longez as the first day I saw one and I think I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Reading others stories and following their progress on the Web has kept my enthusiasm up. I hope my web page will do the same for others
